A Literary Christmas Challenge 2017

I had so much doing the Literary Christmas Challenge last year that I'm signing up most eagerly this year!  It's hosted by In the Bookcase once again -- click here if you're interested in joining it yourself.

This year, I am challenging myself to read:

~ Skipping Christmas by John Grisham

~ One more unspecified Christmas book (I like keeping my options open)

I would sign up for more, but I know I'm going to get lots of entries for the Rooglewood Press contest to read and judge in December, so I'm not going to set myself up for feeling guilty by saying I'll read a bunch of books I might not have time for.  Sound good?  Good!

  1. How fun! I saw this last year, but didn't join, maybe I will do it this year...

    1. MC, it's definitely fun! I like that it gives me an incentive to put aside my "usual" TBR stack and pull out something Christmasy :-)

  2. I will most probably joined you! I have my new copy of Dickens at Christmas which I planned to read for Dickens in December. Have fun, Hamlette!

    1. Fanda, that sounds cool! I just ordered a collection of Christmasy classic stories that I might either read selections of or all of for this too. I know it has some Dickens in it, so you never know, we might end up reading some of the same things!

  3. Hi! I'm so glad that you joined again this year. I've heard of Skipping Christmas (a friend of mine mentioned before). I hope you have fun reading it, and any other holiday reads you get to enjoy. :)

    1. Hi, Tarissa! I was so happy to see you're hosting this again -- I've been looking forward to it. I picked up "Skipping Christmas" at a library book sale a while back, so here's hoping it's good!
