We did it! We read Sense and Sensibility together, and I had so much fun digging deeply into the text with you. To celebrate, I'm giving away five Jane Austen-esque prizes:
Prize 1: "The Air is Full of Spices" candle I bought from Northanger Soapworks. This is one of my absolute favorite candles -- it smells like oranges and spices, and the name comes from a line of Col. Brandon's in the 1995 film version of Sense and Sensibility, where he describes what India is like for Margaret Dashwood.
Prize 2: "Turn About the Room" lip balm I bought from Northanger Soapworks. It smells like peppermint and is both soothing and refreshing.
Prize 3: Sheet of Sense and Sensibility stickers I bought from Vivi At Home Studio.
Prize 4: Three bookmarks (left-hand set) I bought files from Allegra Digital for and printed myself, plus a portrait sticker of Jane Austen I bought from A Fine Quotation. The bookmarks are double-sided!
Prize 5: Three bookmarks (right-hand set) I bought files from Allegra Digital for and printed myself, plus an Austen bookstack sticker I bought from Vivi At Home Studio. The bookmarks are double-sided!

This giveaway will end at 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. I'll draw five winners on Wednesday, May 12, and announce them here on this blog that day, as well as alert them by the email provided to the widget. Use an email address you check often! If I don't receive a response from a winner by Wednesday, May 19, that winner will be disqualified and I'll draw another.
Prize 5! Those are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe lipbalm looks fun, and I love that bookstack sticker! So neat!
ReplyDeleteEither of the bookmark prizes would be my choice! I need some new ones. :)
ReplyDeletePrize one (I love the way Alan Rickman says that line in the 95 movie, and orange is one of my favorite scents!) or four would be my choices!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely prizes!! This is such a fun idea. :) My preference would be Prize 3 or Prize 4.
ReplyDeleteThe lip balm or the stickers! All of these are so good though.
ReplyDeleteI did not comment on any of the Read Along posts, but I enjoyed reading the posts and reading everyone else's comments! I read S&S for the first time this January, so it was still pretty fresh in my mind. I really appreciated the information you added from your annotated edition, and all of the different covers were a fun way to keep the posts varied. I read "Jane Austen Cover to Cover" earlier this year, and highly recommend it to fellow Austen fans, it's a fun look at a ton of different covers from her books, with commentary.
ReplyDeleteOh, and prize pack 4 or 5 :-)
NoseInANovel, I'm so glad you had fun with the read-along! That annotated edition was such a treasure-trove of cool information -- I am definitely going to get the other annotated Austens now.
DeleteI've seen pictures of Jane Austen Cover to Cover on Instagram and it looks really fun! I will have to see if my library has it. I have a jigsaw puzzle that is all different covers of Jane Austen's books, and it's great fun.
Great prizes! 1 and 4 are my favorites. Thanks for hosting the read-along and for doing this giveaway!
