If you ACTUALLY intended to murder your main character I shouldn't think you would blatantly advertise it on the front of your book. Takes away all the suspense.
Right. This is probably an attempt to convince the reading public that she DOES intend to murder the main character--thereby inducing them to buy the book in a panic, only to discover that the main character never actually gets killed at all.

I want to say that the premise of the stories makes it highly unlikely that she'll die...but one can never be sure, I guess....

I know, Hayden. I feel like, nah, no way LRK would kill off a character in the 14th book in the series... but ACD killed Holmes.

ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I am way more hyper about this book than I have been about any of her previous releases, so I kinda think it's working.
