    1. Molly, well, of the classics on this list, The Blue Castle and A Room with a View are the most approachable for someone who doesn't read many classics, so you might like them?

    1. Thanks, Stefani! Jane Austen is definitely a perfect fit for a lot of things around Valentine's Day :-) In fact, my husband took me to see the 2005 Pride and Prejudice at the movie theater last night!

  4. I need to read the Blue Castle. I bought it at a used bookstore last year on a whim because I have heard great things about it...but haven't read it yet.

  5. I have only read four of them, and from the four, my favorite is between Persuasion and Guernsey - maybe a little more towards Persuasion. But definitely not Jane Eyre.
    You remind me that I need to pick up A Room with a View from where I left it last year!

  8. I love JANE EYRE and P&P. I've heard several bloggers rave about THE BLUE CASTLE, but I still haven't read it. I think I need to!

    1. Susan, I read The Blue Castle for the first time because a bunch of blogging friends basically badgered me into it, and I am sooooo glad they did! It's such a delight.
