Top Ten Tuesday: Mine, all mine!

Have you ever borrowed a book from the library or a friend, or read an e-copy, and loved the book so much you just had to buy a physical copy for your shelves?

I definitely have done this!  If I love a book, that means I'll want to reread it, and that means I want a copy on my shelves so I can reread it at any moment.

So, here are ten books and/or series I've done that with, for this week's Top Ten Tuesday from That Artsy Reader Girl.  All titles are linked to my reviews :-)

(All pictures are mine from my Instagram account)

The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery (PG)

Corral Nocturne by Elisabeth Grace Foley (G)

Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster (G)

Girl in Disguise by Greer MacAllister (PG-13)

Laertes by Carly Stevens (PG-16)

The Light of Western Stars by Zane Grey (PG)

The Mycroft and Sherlock books by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Anna Waterhouse

The Reluctant Godfather by Allison Tebo (G)

The Two Blue Doors trilogy by Hillary Manton Lodge

The Tudor Throne series by Charity Bishop

Have you read any of these?  Did you do a TTT this week?  Do share!

  1. I think the only one I've read from your list is Hamlet.

  2. Great list! I LOVED A Table by the Window, but somehow haven't gotten around to finishing the series. Hopefully one of these days I will. I've heard wonderful things about The Mycroft and Sherlock books and really want to read them. :)

    1. Thanks, Ashley! I was deceived by a library sticker that covered the fact that it was part of a series and read Together at the Table first, and then had to quick read the first two books so I understood what I had read better!

The Mycroft and Sherlock books are marvelous fun. And quite clean!

  5. I've totally done this! It's a great feeling when you're reading a book from the library/on your Kindle and you realize that it's so amazing that you must own it.

  7. I have one copy of The Blue Castle. If I'm the kind to like duplicat copies, I might also have gotten different ones with different covers.

I have read Daddy-Long-legs and I didn't like it all that much.

    Have a lovely day.

My list: Reasons why I would purchase books for my library

  8. I haven't read any of these, but most of them sound like books I would like. Other than the Anne books, I haven't read anything by Montgomery. I should definitely try out THE BLUE CASTLE!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

    1. Susan, you have some treats ahead of you, then! I am particularly fond of The Blue Castle, and my kids love LMM's Jane of Lantern Hill even more than Anne of Green Gables :-o
