I had half a slice of pizza the other day and it was amaaaaaaaaaazing :-)

Thanks for thinking of me! If I hadn't gone in, I probably would have had another attack in anywhere from hours or days, and probably passed a gallstone all the way into the tube that connects the gallbladder to the pancreas instead of just blocking it, which would have meant I'd have needed another surgery too.

My m-i-l had her gall bladder out like 10 years ago and has been fine without it, other than not being able to eat really greasy foods, which yanno, nobody should eat anyway. My dad had his out a couple years ago, and has been doing fine too. Like I said, I'm so thankful to the Lord that this was not something life-threatening or that would be a chronic problem.Hamlette (Rachel)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11961916847426233995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587150608901957801.post-53034441227842374722014-10-04T00:50:27.555-04:002014-10-04T00:50:27.555-04:00Oh my goodness! I am doing a LOT better today -- yesterday was a little rough, but today I don't need as much pain medicine and I'm able to read books to the kids and so on. Not just sitting there staring off into space or at the computer or TV. They had to keep me to do more tests to see if I needed another procedure done or if the gall bladder removal was sufficient.

So I came home yesterday afternoon, and I can walk unassisted, and eat small meals. My meds make me loopy and a little woozy, so my hubby does help me up and down the stairs, but they keep the pain at bay, so yay!

Anyway, thanks! So far, so good.Hamlette (Rachel)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11961916847426233995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587150608901957801.post-5806238211963810982014-09-26T17:53:52.679-04:002014-09-26T17:53:52.679-04:00Wow! And how NICE of them to keep you in the hospital for two days. They kicked me out within hours of my surgery, and I was down for like five days. Couldn't walk or eat. Forget blogging. (I think the meds made me extra sick.) Well, anyway, speedy recovery to you.Ruth @ with freedom and bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15531827758868215023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587150608901957801.post-51745391631679423262014-09-25T13:34:55.446-04:002014-09-25T13:34:55.446-04:00I know!
